The National Association for Multicultural Education (NAME) welcomes a diverse and
dynamic community of professionals committed to equity, inclusion, and social justice in
education. Our membership includes educators and specialists across all levels—from
early childhood and K–12 classrooms to colleges and universities. Members include
faculty, administrators, psychologists, social workers, counselors, curriculum
developers, librarians, scholars, and researchers.
NAME also embraces the vital contributions of students, parents, community activists,
and grassroots organizers. We encourage membership from individuals affiliated with
cultural centers, museums, teacher education programs, ethnic studies, bilingual and
ELL education, social sciences, anthropology, liberal and fine arts, and any department
or institution committed to multicultural education.
