Session Description
Now more than ever, educators are being bullied and used as political pawns. Accepted norms, movements, and theories in multicultural education, including the 1619 Project, the need for diversity, equity and inclusion curriculum, teaching, and leadership support, recognition of LGBTQ-plus communities, and critical race theory are under siege from white supremacists in local and national elections. The National Association for Multicultural Education remains committed to elevating educator voices, to advocating for expanded anti-racist curricula and approaches across pre-K through college classrooms, to better preparing and supporting educators, and to elevating a humane, just vision of the world. Join the NAME community as we continue the struggle!
