Exhibitors are cordially invited
to participate in the 15th Annual International NAME
Conference. This year’s theme is Renewing
the Dream Through Multicultural Education: Sharing Power, Valuing
Culture, and Achieving Social Justice. The name
Conference is designed for teachers, administrators, community
activists, parents and others interested in advocating for multicultural
education and social justice. Since NAME is the only national
organization whose primary focus is multicultural education, hundreds of
educators and activists throughout the country attend our annual
conference each year.
This year the conference will be
held in Atlanta, Georgia, at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta on Peachtree
Street. The conference will begin on Wednesday, November 9 and conclude
on Sunday, November 13, 2005. The Exhibit Hall will open with a Grand
Reception on Wednesday evening from 8:30 pm to 10 pm. The Exhibit Hall
will be open daily on Thursday and Friday from 10 am to 6 pm and on
Saturday from 9 am to noon.
EXHIBITOR SPACE REQUEST FORM
If you are interested in
exhibiting, please print and fill out the
Exhibitor Space Request Form and send it, along
with payment, to NAME. Booths will be assigned in the next few weeks.
After NAME receives your Exhibitor Space Request Form and payment,
exhibit packets and additional instructions will be forwarded to you
from the exhibit company, GES Exhibition Services. You will then
contact GES directly for any needed services.
SPECIAL FEATURES FOR EXHIBITORS
For the 2005 NAME Conference,
all of the vendors will be located in the same room. Space will be
limited to first come and assigned in the order received, according to
your requirements. In general, the exhibitors that are using higher
backdrops will be located around the perimeter of the arena. Thus, upon
entering the Exhibit Hall, there should be a complete view of the entire
exhibit arena.
This year, we will have
special features within the Exhibit Hall to draw conference
participants into the hall on a regular basis. These will include
things such as:
-
Book signings – please let us know if you plan to
have any at your booth so that we can advertise them
-
A lounge area for the conference participants to
sit and visit with a view of the exhibits while relaxing
-
Conversation with the Author sessions throughout
the conference
-
Film Festival, and possibly a silent auction
ADVERTISE IN THE CONFERENCE
PROGRAM BOOK
NAME’s annual international
conference typically draws between 1,000 and 1,500 attendees – and the
program book is given to each registrant. This is an exceptional
opportunity to advertise directly to NAME members and others who have a
deep commitment to education that is multicultural. The deadline for
placing an ad in the Conference Program Book is Friday, September 30,
2005.
If you would like to purchase an
ad in the Conference Program Book, please: (1) Print and fill out the
Program
Book Advertising Form (which contains ad specs); (2)
send the form with payment to NAME; (3) send the advertising copy by
e-mail to
eliza@nameorg.org. In the body of the e-mail, list your name, phone
number, and company; what type of ad you are purchasing and the price of
the ad; and your method of payment. As an attachment to the e-mail,
please submit your advertising copy (black and white pdf.tif or jpeg at
300 dpi, with all fonts and images embedded).
CONTACT INFORMATION
If you have any questions,
