Second Annual Benefit
“Back to the Delta 2008: It’s All About Soul!”
to assist students in New Orleans, Mississippi,
Breast Cancer Research, & the PGCEA Minority Scholarship Fund.
“This year is the second annual Back to the Delta Benefit. Last year, while forming a student blues band, we also raised $15,000 for student arts/cultural programs in New Orleans and Mississippi. Now, we are raising funds to assist:
1. Our 5 sister programs in New Orleans and Mississippi.
2. Breast Cancer Research
3. The PGCEA Minority Scholarship Fund
La Mura Video Festival 2007

The La Mura Video Festival was created by Teja Arboleda of Entertaining Diversity, Inc., in collaboration with NAME, to provide personal voices to culturally diverse communities all over the US, through video storytelling. In keeping with the old African proverb, Only when lions have historians will hunters cease being heroes, this festival celebrates America’s stories about race, culture, ethnicity, religion and immigration from the point of view of young video producers.
Once a year, at the National Association for Multicultural Education conference, La Mura Video Festival will showcase the winners of this competition. A total of six winning videos will be featured, with the option of being distributed for educational purposes, as a group, through Entertaining Diversity, Inc.
